Sunday 11th May
The
U14a lost their League Cup Semi Final 2-1 against Crawley Green after extra time. This follows their recent County Cup Final
Appearance which they lost. They have won their league however and all in all an exceptional season for the lads. The U14b
team drew with Bushmead Wanderers 2-2 and confirmed their Runners Up position in the same league as the U14a team. I think
it’s the first time two Borough teams have finished Top and Runners Up in the same division. Well done the U14’s.
Sat/Sun 3/4th May
In
the Youth section the U14a team won 7-0 at Bushmead Wanderers and the U12a team lost 1-0 at Leighton Utd.
In
the Junior section the U8 Whites lost 402 at home to St Josephs but have already won the league and the U8 Blues lost 3-0
at home to Crawley Green.
In
the U9’s the Whites won 6-1 at Crawley Green and finish Runners Up and the Blues lost 3-1 at home to Eaton Bray and
finish third. The Reds won 8-1 at home to Sundon Park and are
Champions.

The U15’s
won 3-1 at home to Markyate. The U14a team won 3-1 at home to Bushmead Wanderers and are top of the league. The U13a team
narrowly lost 5-4 at Leighton Utd and finish bottom and the U13b team lost 2-1 at home to Barnfield and finish 3rd
from bottom. The U12b team won 6-2 at home to AFC Kempston and finish mid table.
In the Junior section
the U10 Whites won 1-0 at home to Celtic and have won the league. The U10 Blues have also won their league with a 1-0 win
at home to SKF. The U9 Whites drew at home to St Josephs 0-0 and the U9 Reds lost only their second game of the season 2-1
at Luton Leagrave, having already secured the title. The U8 Blues lost 3-2 at St Martins and the U8 Whites won 6-0 at Eaton
Bray and have won the league.

Sat/Sun 12/13th April
Some results not available from the Chiltern Youth League. What a surprise! The Men won at home 8-5
against Kempston Town. I’m not sure if it was
football that was being played!!
In the Youth section The U14’s won their Quarter Final against Milton Keynes
5-1. Good luck in the Semi’s boys.
The U11’s won 2-0 at Toddington Rovers but have lost the chance of the league but will finish
runners up.
The U12a team won 2-1 at Barton Rovers and the U12b team beat Bushmead Wanderers at home 3-2 to stay
mid table. The U12c team lost at Flitwick Eagles. The U13a team lost 3-1 at home to Bedford
Town.
In the Junior section The U8 Blues lost 2-0 at home to Eaton Bray and the U9 Whites finish runners
up despite losing 3-1 at home to league winners Barton Rovers. Well done to them!
The U9Blues must be sick of the sight of AFC Luton. In the last three matches they have lost twice
to their `A’ team and now have lost 1-0 to their `B’ team. They still finish a very creditable third though so
well done to them. The U9 Reds beat St Josephs 2-1 at home and have almost clinched the league. Just one more win from their
last three matches will do them.
The U10Whites beat Shefford Saints 2-1 at home and have won their league. Well done guys! The U10Blues
went to Ampthill Town
and came away with a 4-1 win to set up a pulsating last match against second in the table SKF. I think it’s going to
be a `Whoever wins’ wins the league match. That’s in two weeks time I believe.
So, not a bad week. Here are the Stats.

Sat/Sun 5/6th April
All Youth games
on Sunday were called off but we had a few matches in the Junior section.
The U10 Whites
won 8-0 at bottom club Sacred Heart and need two more points to seal the league. The U9 Whites beat Crawley Green Foxes 2-1
at home to make sure of Runners up position. The U9 Blues lost at AFC Luton 3-1
and are third. The U9 Reds won 8-0 away at Sundon Pk Rangers and are now four points in front with four to go.
The U8 Blues
picked up a well deserved point against Crawley Green Crusaders but stay rooted to the bottom. The U8 Whites dropped a point
at third placed St Josephs but stay top.
That’s
about it this weekend. Here are the scores on the doors!

Sat/Sun 29/30th March
The Men lost 2-0 at home to Woburn
and stay in mid table. In the Youth section the U15’s drew 1-1 against the top team Kempston at their place but remain third from bottom. The U14b team beat bottom club Flitwick 4-1 at home and are top
of the table but teams below them have games in hand, including our own `A’ team. Possible 0ne two finish here maybe?
The U12b team beat SKF 3-2 at home and remain in mid table and the
U12c team thrashed Shefford 8-2 to go above them to fourth spot.
In the Junior section, only the three U9 teams played. The Whites just scraped
by their bogey team Sacred Heart, beating them 10-0 at home. Barton only need three points to win this division but the Whites
are on course for runners-up. The Blues lost 3-1 at home to AFC Luton and although third, lost ground on Eaton Bray for the Runners up position. AFC only need a point to win this division.
The Reds beat second placed Bushmead 1-0 to follow up their 4-1 victory against them two weeks ago and the league is now firmly
in their hands, being four points in front with five matches left.

Sat/Sun 2/3rd February 2008
A few games called off this weekend because of frost but here’s the ones who got another fixture
out of the way.
The U9 Blues lost a bad tempered match at St Martins 3-2 and lost ground on the leaders. The U9 Reds
won 2-0 away at Luton Leagrave to stay top, and the U10Blues also stayed top with a 4-0 win at Shefford Saints. The U10 Whites
lost their League Cup Semi-final against Crawley Green 4-2.
In the Youth section the U11’s won 3-2 at Toddington Rovers. It’s very tight at the top
of that league. In the U12’s the `A’ team won 8-3 at Oakley Rangers and stay mid table. The `B’ team drew
2-2 with second placed Dunstable Town and the `C’ team drew 4-4 at home to Flitwick Eagles. The U13a team drew again 1-1 at AFC Dunstable. They’ve
drawn four of their nine games this season but are still looking for that elusive first win. The U13b team lost 3-1 at home
to Flitwick Eagles and stay third from bottom.
Still awaiting three results from the older teams!!!
The Men won 3-1 at Riseley and stay mid table.

Mini Soccer Referees Courses |
|
PARENTS/COACHES
Did you know you can become
a qualified mini soccer Referee without having to sit the full Referee's course?
Bedfordshire F.A. run a one evening course at a cost
of £15 per person, which qualifies you to referee in mini soccer matches. I know, you don’t have to be qualified, but
wouldn’t it be better to be confident that your every decision was the right one according to the rules. Not every Club
can provide a fully qualified Referee to officiate in their matches, but there is no excuse for not having a mini soccer qualified
referee on all of your games.
If you would like to attend one of these courses,
or you are a Club official and want to get someone from your Club qualified, then contact Chris Checketts at the Beds
F A to book or for more information.

Mum's and Dad's
It is strongly recommended that you don’t buy Bladed football boots, as they can cause
knee damage to the wearer and cuts to other players. Some schools and clubs have already banned their use. The wearing of
goal keeper gloves with finger protection is also being looked in to as they can cause crushed knuckles.

Nursery
Our nursery has been running since 4th April 2005 and has been very successful in terms of numbers. The
feedback from the kids and the parents has been fantastic.
It's run on a Monday evening outside, at Stopsley Sports Centre from 5-6pm and encompasses school years
Foundation to Year 2. The year two kids have played a few friendlies to get them used to competitive matches. Click
in to NURSERY page for more Info.
We do however need help!
The coaches running it are finding it a strain to make every single Monday, and we need more coaches.
Parents, Male or Female please think about trying to help. One Weekends training could see you become
a Coach.

YOUR COMPANY NAME ON OUR SHIRTS
Would you like to see your company name on one of our
teams' shirts? We are now a FA Charter Standard Award Club, and are looking to improve links with local
schools and businesses. We are non profit making, and as such have to find money for kit and equipment through various means.
We now have three players who have come through the ranks
of Luton Borough F.C. and now have professional contracts with Luton Town.
In years to come we hope that one or two more of our youngsters will follow in their footsteps. We already have a few attending
Professional clubs Schools of Excellence.
Our new under 8 and under 9 teams need a kit now for the
coming season. Just think; in eight or nine years time when one of our players is making their debut for England, and they
show a photo of the team they started in, it will have your company name on the shirt.
If yours is a local or national company and would like
to help us build on our success, whilst also advertising on our shirts, please contact Gordon Attwell on 01582 611944.
